A person allegedly fired pellets at a group of wedding revellers' vehicles at 8am yesterday (Jul 1) morning at Block 762 Woodlands Avenue 6.

The pellets had been shot at the windscreens and frames of the cars that belong to the groomsmen that were meant to fetch the bride, reports Lianhe Wanbao.

Stomper Hamz was passing by the area at around 12.45pm when he saw several police vehicles and some areas that had been cordoned off.

"It looked like some high-profile case," he said.

The police were alerted to a case of mischief at the carpark beside Block 762 Woodlands Avenue 6 at 7.45am.

When Wanbao arrived at the scene of the incident, pellet holes were clearly visible on a white and silver car that were decorated for the wedding.

One of the groomsmen, Liu Yuanqi, 31, told the Chinese daily that seven groomsmen had driven five cars to the location to escort the bride.

One of the bridesmaids heard a shooting sound while the group were playing gatecrashing games below the block.

When he hurried down to check his car, he found that his car window was broken.

His friend, Li Jinyong, also 31 said that his white car had received at least six shots.

However, the duo were not as worried about their car as they were about attending their friend's wedding banquet as they stayed behind to aid in police investigations.

It is unclear who shot the pellets.
