ONE Championship boss Chatri Sityodtong receives Top CEO of the Year Award

The Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship (ONE), Chatri Sityodtong, will receive the 2017 InfluentialBrands Top CEO of the Year award at the 2017 CEO Asia Conference organized in conjunction with Deloitte. 

The award, given to exemplary CEO's who have exhibited strong business leadership, build confidence from stakeholders, and embrace branding as a business strategy, will be presented to Sityodtong at Capitol Theatre on Tuesday (Nov 7). 

Past recipients include Mr George Quek, Chairman BreadTalk Group, Mr Anthony Tan, Co-Founder and CEO of GrabTaxi Holdings, Dr Michael Tan, Co-Founder and Group CEO of Fullerton Healthcare Corporation, Mr Richard Eu, CEO of Eu Yan Sang International, Mr David Chiem, Founder, CEO and Chairman of Mindchamps Holdings and Mr Alain Ong; CEO of Pokka International. 

Established since 2011, ONE Championship has seen massive growth, owing to its rapid rise across Asia as well as major partnerships with global brands such as Disney, Marvel, LG, Kawasaki, Panasonic, Haier, NagaWorld, Universal Music Group. 

Mr Sityodtong said:

With significant increases in its social media influence and television distribution for the past three years, 2017 is looking to be another phenomenal year for ONE Championship. 

The company also garnered 8.3 billion social media impressions just this year alone, compared to just 352 million in 2014, a whopping 23 times increase. 

Social media video views have been estimated to total more than 1.5 billion compared to 312,000 three years ago. 

ONE's latest highlighted growth see it rival the growth of Formula One (F1), another major event. 

In terms of social media, ONE even outdoes the competition, with a user fanbase of 5 million, and over 1.3 million average Facebook views.

In comparison, F1 has only 3.86 million register users and 400,000 average views. 

Looking forward, 2018 promises to be an even better year for ONE, as it strives to become the global leader in martial arts and sports entertainment.

Already, it has announced its blockbuster 2018 calendar, featuring 24 massive events taking place in iconic cities across Asia, which promises to set the bar for authentic world-class martial arts and bring a unique experience to fans all across the region.
