Nude Singaporean man among 25 arrested at Thai sex party during raid

A Singaporean man was among 25 arrested during a raid at a swingers’ party in a hotel at Pattaya, Thailand on Saturday (April 21) at about 11.30pm.

Of the 25 detained in the raid, 11 were men and 14 were women.

The suspects included nationals from Thailand, America, Canada, Germany, Ukraine, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore, reports Shin Min Daily News

They were all found naked on the ground floor of the hotel.

It is believed that the raid had been kept under wraps.

Police district chief Naris Niramaiwong said that the police were alerted to the party via residents living near the hotel, who revealed that there were often such orgies held at the hotel, in which participants readily trade sexual partners.

The hotel in question was the Ban Tulip Hotel, reports local media.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the detainees have all been released with the exception of a tourist who had overstayed his visa, and another Filipino who was suspected to have taken drugs.

Three employees from the hotel were also arrested, along with the hotel owner, Yang Xeng Chai, a Chinese national.

Yang was arrested for violating the Hotel Act and illegally facilitating sexual activities in the hotel.

Naris also revealed that the attendees signed up for the party via a website and paid an admission fee of 1,500 baht ($63) per person.
