Man, 43, and woman, 34, arrested for drugs and traffic-related offences after dramatic car chase from Farrer Rd to Queensway

A 43-year-old driver and his 34-year-old female passenger were arrested after a dramatic car chase between Farrer Road and Queensway.

In response to Stomp's media queries, a police spokesperson said:

"The Police confirm that a road block was conducted along McKenzie Road on 2 June 2017 at 1am.

"A 43-year-old driver refused to comply with the officer’s instruction at the road block and sped off.

"In ensuing pursuit, an accident involving the male driver’s car and a Police vehicle occurred along Normanton Park.

"Two officers were conscious when conveyed to National University Hospital (NUH).

"The male car driver and his 34-year-old female passenger were subsequently arrested for drugs and traffic-related offences.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

The scene was captured on a driver's dashboard car camera and posted to Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road's Facebook page.

In the video, multiple police vehicles including cars and bikes can be seen giving chase to a blue car.
