A Stomper was travelling along Woodlands Avenue 10 at around 9.15pm yesterday (Jun 8) when he witnessed an accident involving a motorcycle and a car.

Thereafter, he stopped his vehicle and offered assistance to the motorcyclist who was injured after what happened.

In a telephone interview, the Stomper said that the motorcyclist hit the bonnet of the car whose driver was making a turn. The motorcyclist had the right way when the accident took place.

Following the collision, the motorcyclist was flung forward onto the road.

As the Stomper was part of an emergency response team of a private company, he stepped forward to render aid to the injured male motorcyclist.

Said the Stomper:

"I provided first aid for the motorcyclist.

"His left knee was bleeding and he could not move his left hand. I think it might have been fractured.

"The motorcyclist went into shock and passed out before the ambulance arrived, but regained consciousness after that.

"I also advised the female car driver on what to do after the accident as she looked to be confused and in a daze."

Photos the Stomper sent show the motorcyclist in a neck brace on a stretcher.

He was being attended to by a paramedic.

An SCDF spokesperson said they were alerted to the accident at 9.13pm and dispatched one ambulance.

A Chinese man in his 50s was conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat hospital.
