To the unsuspecting jogger, this monitor lizard at Punggol Waterway Park might look like any other fallen tree truck on the ground.

But if you have sharp eyesight like Stomper Anon, you would have noticed that it is actually a really large reptile.

The Stomper was brisk-walking with a friend on Saturday morning (Oct 14) at around 11am when he came across the animal.

He said: "This lizard was actually the second one that I saw and bigger than the first at around four feet long.

"I presume it was looking for food.

"It's not easy to spot a lizard in the bush as its skin colour resembles a tree trunk."
