First we have the case of otters eating up to $500 worth of fish every night at the Pasir Ris Park, and now this.

A Stomper residing around the Waterina and Aston Mansions area, spotted some men illegal fishing at a river that flows between the two condos, at around 6.30pm yesterday (Oct 30).

According to the Stomper, this has been happening frequently, on a weekly basis.

"This happens every week, on both weekdays and weekends.

"On weekdays, they can sometimes be found fishing in the afternoons and evenings, and on weekends, almost the whole day.

"I wanted to do the same thing, I wanted to fish, but there was a signboard that said 'No fishing, $3000 fine'. But one of them even removed it.

"And they always get a huge catch, oblivious to the passers-by around them. They just continue taking pictures and fishing, showing off their fishes.

"We would all love to fish there...but it's illegal, so how can they just go ahead an do that? It's unfair.

"Maybe they should put up a CCTV to guard the river, hopefully that can solve the problem."
