Men arrested for separate cases of molest at Palawan Beach and Chinese Garden MRT Station

Two men aged 24 and 30 have been arrested for their suspected involvement in two separate cases of outrage of modesty that were reported on Dec 25.

For the first case, at about 9pm, two women aged 33 and 38 reported that they had been molested at Palawan Beach, Sentosa.

Following investigations, the 24-year-old suspect was arrested on the same day.

For the second case, at about 9pm, a 31-year-old woman reported that she had been molested at the walkway at Chinese Garden MRT Station.

Following investigations, the 30-year-old suspect was arrested on the same day.

Both suspects were charged in court today (Dec 27) with the offence of outrage of modesty.

If convicted, they are liable to an imprisonment term which may extend to two years, or with fine or with caning, or with a combination of such punishments.
