Driver, 49, sent to hospital after car overturns opposite Mediacorp campus

A 49-year-old man was sent to the hospital after his car crashed into a lamppost and overturned in Ayer Rajah earlier this morning (Feb 23).
Stomper James passed by the accident site, which he said was opposite the Mediacorp campus, at around 9am and contributed a photo of the overturned vehicle.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to an accident at 1 Stars Avenue at about 7.30am.
The driver was conscious when taken to the National University Hospital (NUH) in an ambulance.
The police told Stomp that they were alerted to an accident involving a car at the junction of One North Avenue and Ayer Rajah Crescent at 7.31am.
Police investigations are ongoing.
