Man grabs woman's breast while her BF had his arm around her at Holland Village bar

An unemployed man touched a 25-year-old woman's breast despite her boyfriend having his arm around her, through a gap between the couple's bodies.

According to The Straits Times, the incident occurred at Wala Wala Cafe Bar in Holland Village on June 9.

The couple and their friends occupied a table that faced a live band on the second floor, after arriving at about 11pm.

Meanwhile, 54-year-old Affendi Mohamed Noor and a male friend were seated at a table behind the group and to the right.

It was some time after midnight on June 10 when the victim felt Affendi's hand on her thigh. She shoved his hand away and shouted an expletive at him. Affendi then walked away.

When the woman's boyfriend asked what happened, she recounted the incident to him but thought Affendi might have been drunk.

At around 1.15am, the victim's boyfriend was seated next to her when he placed his arm over her shoulders.

Affendi stretched his hand through the gap between them and grabbed the woman's breast.

He was arrested after the victim's boyfriend called the police.

Affendi, who has previous convictions related to property and drugs, was sentenced to nine months in jail yesterday (Nov 28) after admitting to molesting the woman. Due to his age, he will not be caned.
