Man cuts lock and takes away Deliveroo e-scooter at Tiong Bahru Plaza in broad daylight

A man was caught on camera cutting the lock of a Deliveroo e-scooter before taking it away at Tiong Bahru Plaza.

Stomper Sidah said she was at Tiong Bahru Plaza with her husband at 5pm yesterday. (Dec 21)

Her husband had locked his scooter using a chain and they both went shopping.

However, they returned 30 minutes later to find that the e-scooter was missing.

They asked a lady who was sitting nearby if she knew what happened and she showed them a recording of what had occurred.

In the video, a man was seen using a cutter to break the lock before taking the e-scooter away. All this was done in full view of the public.

From the video, there were at least two women sitting nearby, one of whom recorded a video of the incident.

Sidah told Stomp, "It happened so fast, only less than one minute. Then, it was gone."
