A 48-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty at around 10am yesterday (Jul 3) on board an MRT train.
A 32-year-old woman had earlier made a Police report saying that she was molested on board a train from Tiong Bahru MRT station towards Outram MRT station.
The suspect was subsequently arrested at Outram MRT station on the same day.
He will be charged in Court on today (Jul 4) with the offence of Outrage of Modesty.
If convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty punishable under Section 354 (1) of the Penal Code, he may be jailed for up to two years, or fined, and is also liable to caning.
