Man arrested after allegedly molesting woman at Jurong West void deck

A 26-year-old man was arrested on April 4 for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

The police received a report on April 3 from a 33-year-old woman, who said she had been molested at the void deck of Block 612, Jurong West Street 64.

Through extensive ground enquiries and images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him.

The suspect will be charged in court today (April 6).

If convicted of outrage of modesty, he is liable to a jail term of up to two years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
