Man, 36, arrested for allegedly molesting female commuter, 20, on bus at Woodlands

A 36-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a 20-year-old woman while on board a bus along Woodlands Avenue 6 on Oct 18.

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV footages, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him along Woodlands Avenue 7 on Nov 6.

Investigations against the suspect are ongoing, said the police in a news release.

Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 is liable for a jail term of up to two years, or with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments, upon conviction.
