Majestic hornbill graces resident's balcony

Stomper Louisa was surprised to find a visitor perched on the grill ledge of her balcony at Blk 21 Joo Seng Road yesterday evening (Oct 7).

The uncommon guest, a hornbill, seemed unafraid as Louisa and her father approached.

Louisa’s father even tried feeding the majestic bird some rice, but it was not tempted. 

After five to 10 minutes, the hornbill flew away.

Said Louisa:

“It was the first time I’ve seen one, and up-close too.

“The hornbill was quite large.”
