Stomper Lau Lup discovered a cluster of trees at Jalan Bukit Merah bearing pearly plump fruits that caught his attention.

"There were so many on the ground and on the tree," said the Stomper, referring to the fruits commonly known as jambu air in Malay or rose apples.

"These fruits are edible but I think must have a lot of worms in them, hence nobody seems to be attracted to them.

"However, I see already, I lao nua (drool)."

He added:

"You can't judge a book by its cover. If it looks attractive, it does not mean that it's safe to eat even if it's edible.

"One never knows what animal has been feasting and laying eggs in them."
