Johor Princess to marry marketing manager of former Tampines Rovers FC

Johor Princess Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim is set to marry former Tampines Rovers Football Club's marketing manager Dennis Muhammad Abdullah.

According to The Star, the wedding will take place at the Istana Bukit Serene in Johor Bahru on Aug 14.

Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli, president of the state Royal Council, said that Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and his wife Permaisuri Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah have consented and given their blessings to the wedding.

The Princess' soon-to-be husband was born as Dennis Verbaas in 1989 in The Netherlands.

He received his education from Floretti College Hillegom before studying mechanical engineering at ROC Leiden. He had converted to Islam in May 2015, reported The Straits Times.

Dennis Muhammad Abdullah was a semi-professional footballer and served as the JDT Concept Store and Cafe manager before becoming the marketing manager of Tampines Rovers Football Club in Singapore.
