ITE responds to video of students fighting outside Simei campus, police investigating

A large group of ITE students were seen punching and kicking each other just outside the ITE College East campus in Simei.

A Stomper alerted us to a video of the incident that was said to be circulating amongst students in the college through Instagram Story and Snapchat.

In the video, the students, who were in uniform, can be seen throwing a flurry of punches and kicks at each other while a large group of students stood by watching.

In response to media queries by Stomp, Dr Yek Tiew Ming, the Principal of ITE College East said, "The incident took place outside ITE College East. We take a serious view of the matter and do not condone such behaviour."  

He added that the college is investigating the incident and will be taking the appropriate action to any student found violating the rules.

Police also confirmed with Stomp that a report was made and that investigations are ongoing.
