In a scene seemingly ripped directly out of the manga franchise 'Initial D', a Toyota AE86 crashed into road barriers along a slip road into the East Coast Parkway expressway (ECP), at Bedok South Avenue 1, yesterday (Jun 26) at around 3.56pm.

Stomper Timothy who stumbled upon the scene at around 5.15pm, took a video and some photos, sending them to Stomp.

From the photos, the famed car could be seen getting towed away, with its bonnet badly damaged.

SCDF and Traffic Police officers could also be seen at the site of the accident.

According to Timothy, the vehicle had skidded and crashed into road barriers.

SCDF officers had to wash the oil which had leaked from the damaged vehicle off the road.

Said Timothy:

"I didn't see anyone injured, but I'm sure the owner was heartbroken when he realised what happened to his loved car.

"The engine, in fact, the whole front of the car looks like it's a goner.

"Drive safely folks, especially during rainy days."

The police has released an official statement on the incident:

"On Jun 26, 2017, at 3.56pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a car at Bedok South Avenue 1, along the slip road into East Coast Parkway expressway (ECP) towards Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE).

"No injuries were reported.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

The SCDF has also issued an official line on the incident:

"SCDF was alerted at about 4pm and dispatched one ambulance.

"However, upon arrival, SCDF's assistance was not required."
