How Meghan Markle accepted Prince Harry's proposal: "Can I say yes? Can I say yes?"

Sorry girls, another Prince has been taken off the eligible bachelor's list.

Britain's Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle became engaged in London earlier this month.

Clarence House made it official and announced it yesterday (Nov 27).

Prince Harry, 33, revealed that he proposed to the 36-year-old actress over roast chicken during a "cosy night" at home in his cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

"She didn't even let me finish, she said, 'can I say yes? can I say yes?' and then there were hugs," Harry said in the couple's first interview since the announcement of their engagement earlier Monday, reports AFP via AsiaOne.

They revealed that they were introduced to each other when a mutual friend set them up on a blind date.

Harry said that he had never heard of Meghan and she was ignorant of the British royal family and only asked her friend, "is he nice?"

They hit it off and met again before going camping in Botswana for five days a few weeks later.

"Then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure we had a chance to get to know each other," Prince Harry said.
