A Honda Vezel driver crashed into a garbage collection site at an open space carpark, near Block 128 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, at around 1.30pm today (July 17).

Stomp understands that the motorist had been driving in the carpark when he lost control of his vehicle and collided into a signage, then into the rubbish collection point.

Stompers BurDevan and Klis contributed photos of the accident's aftermath, showing how the car had crashed through a metal sheet and into a pile of trash.

In response to queries by Stomp, a Police spokesman said the 48-year-old male driver was conscious when conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital

Stomper Klis said, "All the car's airbags were activated and the vehicle landed on the concrete tiles. I wonder how the driver did this?"

Police investigations are ongoing.
