Henderson resident catches alleged cat abuser, AVA investigating

An alleged cat abuser in the Henderson estate was apparently caught in the act by a resident, who then called the police.

It is unclear when and where exactly the incident occurred.

Facebook user Yana Sham D'Agustera posted photos showing police being called to the scene and a "solid square metal object" that she said the man had used to "throw directly at another cat".

According to her, the man had also "kicked a cat while it was sleeping".

Yana added in her post: "My husband quickly grabbed hold of [the man]... asking him questions and at the same time called the police! This is not the 1st time he did this to the cats in Henderson."

She also uploaded a video that showed the man "asking for chances upon chances to let him go" while being confronted by another guy, presumably by Yana's husband.

Responding to media queries by Stomp, the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) said it is investigating the matter.
