Several Stompers have alerted Stomp to a technical issue on their Grab App.

Stomper Rock, a Grab driver, had just dropped off a passenger at Sengkang at around 8pm when he started noticing that there weren’t any incoming requests.

He checked the app and realised that there was a technical issue.

A message on the app read:

“Looks like we weren’t able to connect to our server. Please try again in a few minutes.”

At about 9.56pm, Rock received a message from Grab which read:

"Dear Partner, due to a technical issue, you may not be able to receive or complete bookings as per normal.

"We are working hard to fix the issue and will be back to serve you as soon as we can.

"Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your support."

Elsewhere, Stomper Noor encountered a technical issue while using the app at about 9.30pm.

For her, the screen showed up blank and greyed out at the bottom where the "Book" button is usually located.

Stomper Raj and Sim also encountered the problem at around 7.50pm.

Said Sim:

“There is a lot of unhappiness.

“The riders aren’t able to go where they need to, and drivers are left wondering if they will be able to meet the incentive.”

An official message by Grab Singapore was posted on its Facebook page and Twitter at 9.25pm, which read:

"Dear customer, we are experiencing a service interruption, which may result in your Grab app not functioning as expected.

"We are working hard to fix this, and we are working around the clock to resolve it.

"Apologies for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience."

Stomp has reached out to Grab for an official statement on the matter.
