Good Samaritans on the way to S'pore killed while assisting car crash victims in Malaysia

Two people were tragically killed when a car crashed into them as they tried to help two victims from an earlier accident.

Johor Bahru police said that the accident occurred at 4.15am on Saturday (July 9) on Jalan Johor Baru-Ayer Hitam, near Skudai.

"Initial investigations show that a group of motorists was assisting the victims from a separate incident when the car plowed into them," read a police a statement.

The Star reports that three motorcyclists were on their way to Singapore when they stopped to help after noticing the earlier accident.

However, a 29-year-old male car driver rammed into them when they were helping, killing two of them on the spot.

One other person and the two drivers involved in the initial accident were seriously hurt.

The three victims were sent to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for treatment.
