Kudos to lifeguard and passers-by for saving cat from drain outside Hougang Swimming Complex

Stomper Janice came across a heartwarming sight of a lifeguard and a couple of passers-by saving a cat from a flooded drain beside Hougang Swimming Complex yesterday evening (Dec 16).

Using a bucket attached to the end of a length of string and a fryer attached to the end of a bamboo pole, the group managed to successfully save the poor kitten from the drain filled with water due to the heavy downpour earlier.

Janice applauded the group's action:

"Lifeguad saving not humans but a cat"
