He stepped on some toes: Shenzhen's "legless beggar" exposed for having legs

A "legless" beggar who slides around a local market in Shenzhen, China has been revealed by locals to have two working legs.

He used to slide around the local market on a board with wheels, asking people for spare change.

According to the Shanghaiist, the beggar, who earns about 10 000 yuan a month (SGD 2000), was followed by a group of smartphone-weilding locals.

They videoed him going to an alley and taking off his clothing to reveal his legs. He then appears to keep his board with wheels into his bag.

The locals were outraged when they learnt of his trickery and called the cops.

This is not the first time beggars in China were exposed to be conmen. In July, another "legless" beggar had his pants pulled off to reveal a normal set of legs.
