Forklift rams into car and impales windscreen at CCK -- with driver still inside

A 65-year-old man miraculously escaped with just minor scratches after a forklift rammed into his car along Choa Chu Kang Way on Oct 17.

The accident saw the forklift arm pierce through the car into the driver's seat.

Shin Min Daily News captured photos of the aftermath.

A police spokesman said that they were alerted to the accident at around 2.37pm.

The man escaped the wreckage on his own and was later taken conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

The Straits Times understands that the forklift was being driven onto a lorry outside an army camp when it hit the car, which was travelling in the middle lane.

It is unknown how the forklift driver lost control of the vehicle.

Police investigations are ongoing.
