Flash floods in some areas of Singapore

Tomlinson Road and some other areas of Singapore were hit by flash floods today (July 14) afternoon.

In a post at 12.39pm, the LTATrafficNews Twitter page said the junction at Tomlinson Road, near Cuscaden Road, had experienced a flash flood.

The Straits Times shared a video on its Facebook page that showed cars passing through water on a flooded road.

The video showed that water level partially covered the tyres when vehicles passed through the flooded area.

At 12.59pm, the Public Utilities Board (PUB) posted an update on its Twitter page, saying that the flood at Tomlinson Road had subsided and that traffic was passable.
