An elderly woman was caught on camera taking packs of plastic bags from Stomper Jenson's store and leaving without making payment.

Jenson contributed CCTV footage of the incident, which took place this morning (Aug 9) at around 10.15am.

Located at Block 128 Toa Payoh Lorong 1, the store sells hardware and household items.

Said the Stomper: "This woman came into my store and exited again to look at the items that were displayed outside.

"I noticed her because she was looking at the plastic bag section for a long time. I was waiting for her to come in and make payment, only to later realise that she had disappeared.

"I then looked back on my CCTV footage and learned that she had taken three to four packs of plastic bags that are worth $8 to $10."

According to Jenson, the short-haired woman was "quite old" and looked to be nearing 70 years old.

He said that he has yet to make a police report as he "did not catch the woman red-handed."
