An electric scooter rider pointed his middle finger at Stomper Royston after crossing a road in Bukit Panjang recklessly on May 4 at 6.30pm.

Royston said he was exiting a car park and entering the main road at a slow speed, when an e-scooter rider suddenly appeared in front of his car, which caused him to brake abruptly.

Royston told Stomp: "It was a near miss encounter with a reckless and irresponsible e-scooter rider showing his middle finger at Bukit Panjang.

"I was turning out from the car park into a main road at a low speed when an e-scooter rider just came out from nowhere as if he got the right of the way, causing me to slam on my brakes, resulting in a near miss situation.

"I was in a shock and didn’t sound any horn to provoke him in any way.

"The very next moment, he showed me his middle finger before speeding off."
