Original article:

A 54-year-old driver of a double decker bus was injured in an accident involving a car along Yio Chu Kang Road today (Jul 7) at around 10am.

Stomp understands that the driver was going against the flow of traffic before the accident.

Stomper Evet was at the scene following what happened and took a video of its aftermath.

In the video, the stationary bus can be seen against traffic in between the first and second lane of the road. Its windshield was cracked.

The Stomper is unclear what happened and said he was puzzled as to how the bus ended up in that position.

Stomper Bernard also sent Stomp a video showing recovery personnel preparing to tow away the stationary bus. There were Traffic Police motorcycles in the vicinity.

Said a Police spokesman in response to a Stomp query:

"On 7 July 2017 at 10.06am, Police were alerted to an accident involving a bus and a car along Yio Chu Kang Road towards Serangoon Central.

"A 54-year-old bus driver was conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
