Driver narrowly misses wild deer that dashes in front of his vehicle near Mandai Rd

Stomper Donn's father was driving along Mandai Road yesterday (Jan 8) when something dashed in front of his car.

Donn shared the footage from his dad's dashboard camera with Stomp.

"I think it is a wild deer," he said.

The animal is most probably a sambar deer which are pretty rare and number about 20 or less in Singapore.

They are known to roam around and reside near the Mandai part of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.

Thankfully, this particular deer did not end up as road kill.
