Van driver swerves towards cyclist who made hand gestures at him

A cyclist and a van driver were involved in a road dispute along Adam Road on Friday morning (April 13), at around 6.30am.

Stomper Upside Down witnessed the incident and contributed a video that showed both parties behaving in a dangerous manner while travelling on the road.

He said: "This near-accident happened along Adam Road near the PIE junction.

"A cyclist and a van driver had some conflict (not caught on camera).

"The cyclist appeared to confront the van driver.

"The van driver then recklessly swerved his van towards the cyclist in a threatening move.

"I was driving in the right lane beside the cyclist when the incident happened. If the cyclist had swerved right to avoid the van, I might have run over him."
