Cement mixer falls off trailer and rolls onto road at Sheares Ave

A cement mixer fell off its trailer along Sheares Avenue on Sunday (Feb 4) at around 1pm.

Stomper Amy who was driving came across the incident and alerted Stomp to it. 

In a photo sent by Amy, the cement mixer could be seen, having fallen onto the road. 

It is unclear if anyone was hurt. 

Said Amy: “I was driving past the area when I saw the cement mixer. 

“There was a police car there to direct the traffic as well, and two of the three lanes were closed off due to the accident. 

“There was still wet cement on the floor.”

In response to a Stomp query, a police spokesman said: “On Feb 4, 2018 at 12.42pm, the Police were alerted to an accident involving a cement mixer truck along Sheares Avenue.

”No injuries were reported.

"Police investigations are ongoing.”
