Police are investigating a brawl that broke out at People's Park Food Centre on Sunday night (May 6) at around 9pm.

A Stomper witnessed the fight, which involved several men, at about 9.40pm and contributed videos that he filmed of the incident.

Stomp understands that the dispute was between a trio consisting of two men and one woman, and a larger group of men.

Both groups were not acquainted with one another.

The dispute is believed to have started when the trio walked past the group of men, who were seated and were having drinks.

One of the men from the group had reportedly held onto the woman's hand and asked her to join him for a drink.

The woman's husband, who was part of the trio, then confronted the guy.

The group of men is believed to have started hitting the other party.

The trio suffered superficial injuries. No one was conveyed to the hospital.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to a case of voluntarily causing hurt at 32 New Market Road at 9.18pm.

Police investigations are ongoing.
