Victims in SLE accident are Certis Cisco officers, biker's shinbone was protruding from leg

The biker and his pillion rider who were involved in a serious accident along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Jul 24 have been revealed to be Certis Cisco officers.

According to The New Paper, the biker, 25-year-old Mr Danny Raj Muniappan, and his 21-year-old pillion rider, Mr Trivikram R.L, had just ended their shifts at Changi Airport before they crashed into a stationary white car.

Videos of the accident that we were alerted to by Stomper Achmad show Mr Trivikram getting flung from the motorcycle after it crashed into the car on the rightmost lane of the expressway. Mr Danny rammed into the car boot following impact.

Both men were severely injured in the crash.

A witness who identified himself as Mr Wirman, said that Mr Danny was gasping for air and his shinbone was protruding from his left leg immediately after the accident. According to the witness, the pillion rider did not have any visible injuries.

The Certis Cisco officers were conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital following the accident and were warded in the intensive care unit.

Mr Muniappan Govindaraju, father of Mr Danny, told The Straits Times that doctors said his son had a ruptured bladder, a fractured pelvic bone, and blood loss, along with a broken left arm and leg. He has been unconscious since the accident.

Said Mr Muniappan:

“My son isn't in (a) very good condition, the doctors are doing all they can.

“Doctors told me that they will wait until next week to operate because Danny has some swelling and blood clots in his brain.”

Mr Trivikram has been drifting in and out of consciousness. He sustained a fractured pelvic bone and a broken leg.
