Assistant engineer, 33, indulged in BDSM, unprotected sex with 15-year-old girl

A 33-year-old man who engaged in a series of bondage, discipline, sadism, and masochism (BDSM) sex activities with a 15-year-old schoolgirl was sentenced to five years in jail on Monday (Jul 9). 

The accused, Lim Chee Keong, had met the girl on a website offering commercial sex, where she had posted an advertisement looking for "someone who (can) afford to pay for my tuition fees", reports The Straits Times.

Despite having met the girl, Lim did not pay her at all, and proceeded to have unprotected sex with her even though he knew she was underage.

Lim was sentenced on four charges -- three of sexual penetration of a minor and one of possession of obscene films. Seven other related charges were taken into consideration.

Lim, who was an assistant engineer, told the girl that he had no qualms about her age but requested that she delete all their correspondence to keep their arrangement a secret.

The two first met in the wee hours of New Year's Eve 2016 at a staircase landing in Lim's neighbourhood.

Lim had made her inhale an unknown liquid, causing her to feel light-headed and hot. After that, he had unprotected sexual intercourse with her, although she had asked him to use a condom.

They met again last year on Jan 21 at Park Hotel Alexandra, where Lim made her partake in BDSM activities after giving her two glasses of Cognac and soda to alleviate her anxiety.

Lim then made the girl perform an oral sex act on him before tying her wrists behind her back with a leather restraint and whipping her body. He also dripped hot candle wax on her in the bathroom.

The two had unprotected sex twice after that, and once again Lim ignored the girl's request to use protection. 

During the span of their sexual relationship, Lim demanded nude photos and videos from the girl, and asked her to submit to his BDSM sexual demands. Despite initially refusing, she was coaxed when he promised her a sum of $4,000 to $5,000 a month for a year.

However, investigations revealed that he never had the intention of paying her. He had used a fake name to engage her and also communicated with her using a pre-paid SIM card which he disposed of after their sexual encounters.

Lim's offences came to light when the girl's teacher noticed her weird behaviour and sent her for counselling. The girl had broken down during the session and admitted what happened. 

The school then made a police report and Lim was arrested in Feb last year.

After an inspection of Lim's home, sexual paraphernalia such as sex toys and leather wrist cuffs were uncovered. He was also in possession of 197 obscene films in his electronic devices and a bottle of sex enhancement drugs.
