4 men aged between 25 and 33 charged for separate cases of outrage of modesty

Four men between 25 and 33 were charged in court yesterday (Dec 8) for four separate cases of outrage of modesty, committed between June to September this year.

Here are the four cases:

1. On March 27, the police received a report that a 30-year-old woman was molested along Tiong Bahru Road. The 27-year-old male suspect was arrested the following day (March 28).

2. On June 21, the police received a report that a 21-year-old woman was molested on board a bus heading from Clementi Bus Interchange towards Jurong East Bus Interchange. The 29-year-old male suspect was arrested on Aug 2.

3. On Aug 26, the police received a report that an 18-year-old man was molested at a school along Lower Kent Ridge Road. The 32-year-old male suspect was arrested on the same day.

4. On Sep 17, the police received a report that a 14-year-old girl and a 26-year-old woman were molested at a public swimming pool along Jurong East Street 21. The 26-year- old male suspect was arrested on the same day.

If convicted, the suspects are liable to a jail term of up to two years, or a fine, or caning, or with any combination of these punishments.
