3 injured in accident involving 2 cars at Balestier Rd

Three people were injured in an accident involving two cars along Balestier Road yesterday (Jul 30) at around 10.42pm.

Stomper Farhan alerted Stomp to what happened and sent us a video clip showing the accident's aftermath.

In the video, a stationary white car can be seen on the road. Its bonnet was smashed.

There was also a black car at the accident scene but it did not appear to be as heavily damaged.

Paramedics were rendering aid to a person who was lying on the road following the accident.

Said a police spokesman in response to a Stomp query:

"On Jul 30 at around 10.42pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving two cars along Balestier Road towards Thomson Road.

"Three persons aged between 40 and 43 were conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

In a photo sent by Stomper WM, SCDF vehicles can also be seen along Balestier Road.

SCDF told Stomp that one fire engine, one Red Rhino, two fire bikes, four ambulances and one support vehicle were dispatched in response to the accident.
