3 injured in accident involving pedestrian and bus at road junction in Marsiling

An accident involving an SMRT bus and a pedestrian happened at the junction of Marsiling Rise and Marsiling Road on Thursday (Jan 18), at around 6.30pm.

Stomper Kiro was in the vicinity and stopped to take some photos of the incident, which she sent to Stomp.

In the photos, bus service 178 could be seen near a traffic island, and an ambulance was also present.

Kiro said:

“ I didn’t see anyone injured during my 15 minutes at the place.”

In response to a Stomp query, a police spokesman said:

“On Jan 18, at 6.32pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a bus and a pedestrian at the junction of Marsiling Rise and Marsiling Road, 

“Police investigations are ongoing.”

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said:

"The SCDF was alerted to an accident along Marsiling Road at around 6.30pm on Jan 18, 2018.

"Three persons were accessed to have suffered minor injuries by SCDF paramedics and refused conveyance to a hospital."
