17-year-old man arrested for outrage of modesty that allegedly happened on bus at Pasir Ris Dr 4

A 17-year-old man was arrested in relation to a case of outrage of modesty that happened on board a bus at Pasir Ris Drive 4 yesterday (Mar 7).

A Stomper was at a bus stop along Pasir Ris Drive 4 when she noticed a bus service 17 had pulled over in the bus bay and had its hazard lights turned on.

A police car was behind it and police officers were talking to people outside and inside the bus.

"A guy and girl were standing outside the bus talking to an officer," she said.

"The guy looked to be protective of the girl and I saw him reach out to hug and comfort her."

In response to a Stomp media query, a police spokesman said that they were alerted to a case of outrage of modesty at 10.31pm.

"A 17-year-old man was arrested in relation to the case," he said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
