An accident involving a motorcycle and a lorry along Serangoon Road earlier today (Dec 2) left one person dead and two others injured.

Several Stompers shared with Stomp a video that was taken at the accident site.

It shows a death tent, authorities and multiple police vehicles at the scene. An area had also been cordoned off and there was a large crowd.

In response to media queries by Stomp, the police said they were alerted to the accident involving a lorry, a car and two pedestrians at the junction of Serangoon Road and Race Course Lane at 7.47pm.

A 23-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

The pedestrians, one of whom was conscious while the other was unconscious, were both sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that the hospital had been alerted to be on standby to receive the victims.

"SCDF received a call for assistance at approximately 7.50pm and immediately dispatched resources to the scene," a spokesman said.

A 36-year-old male lorry driver was arrested for causing death by a rash act.

Police investigations are ongoing.
