Joggers beware! Snake spotted at East Coast Park!

Stomp Goh was at East Coast Park at around 10am yesterday (Jun 4) when he came across a snake slithering into some bushes from a footpath.

In a telephone interview and email, he said that he first saw a female jogger in front of him jump away suddenly. It was then that he saw the black serpent.

Goh elaborated:

"I was around 200 metres away from Laguna Country Club when I saw the snake.

"It was around one metre long.

"The park is used by joggers and cyclists. Please be more alert when approaching this area."

The Stomper suspects that the snake is a King Cobra based on its appearance.

This is one of many instances where Stompers have alerted us to sightings of snakes around Singapore.
