Shanghai student attacks female classmate for making him look dumb in class

A male postgraduate student at the Shanghai University of Sport attacked his female classmate for apparently challenging his opinions and making him look stupid in class.

A video posted by People's Daily shows him smacking the poor girl on her head before giving her a few kicks.

A statement issued by the university stated that the female student was taken to hospital and did not suffer any injuries from the assault.

The man has since visited her to apologise in person, but outraged netizens are calling for his expulsion.

According to a caption accompanying the video, the incident is currently being investigated by the police.
