Scantily-clad ladies pole dance on top of jeeps for Taiwanese official's funeral

Sexy pole dancers and funerals are activities you'll never see happening at the same place and time, unless you happen to be in Taiwan.

According to Shanghaiist, a funeral in Chiayi located in west Taiwan has made the news for having 50 scantily-clad women pole dance on top of jeeps as part of its procession.

The bizarre occurrence accompanied with loud, blaring music was meant as a send-off for Council Speaker Tung Hsiang, who passed away at the age of 76.

Tung's son has said that his father always 'enjoyed a buzz' and the funeral was meant as a 'happy departure' for him.

The appearance of the women attracted the attention of numerous bystanders.

Colleagues of Tung were also present at the funeral procession.
