A snatch thief was allegedly caught by members of the public and taught a lesson after stealing a phone from a girl.
The incident happened last Saturday (Mar 11) in Klang Malaysia, according to a post by Facebook user Yong Xiang 永翔, reports The Coverage.
Yong claimed that the culprit was caught a passer-by, Andy Cheong in front of a bank outlet at Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
CCTV footage provided showed how the thief had deftly snatched the phone out of his victim’s hands and ran away, with the phone owner chasing after him.
It is however, unclear if the victim managed to chase the culprit down before the passer-by stepped in.
Andy, who caught the thief also reportedly tied him up and delivered a beating to him while other passer-by watched on, although this was not shown on video.
In a daze, the culprit was subsequently handed to the police after.
