Hugh Jackman treated for skin cancer for the sixth time

Hollywood star Hugh Jackman has undergone treatment for skin cancer for the sixth time.

The 48-year-old Australian actor posted a photo of himself on his Instagram with his nose plastered up.

According to AFP via AsiaOne, it was his sixth such treatment.

In his post, he wrote:

"Another basal cell carcinoma. Thanks to frequent body checks and amazing doctors, all is well. Looks worse with the dressing on than off. I swear! #wearsunscreen.

Jackman first had a basal cell carcinoma removed in 2014 when his wife Deborra-Lee Furness urged him to get a mark on his nose checked.

He has received treatment several times since.

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer and can develop on parts of the body which receive high sun exposure.
