Chinese man abseils down 29-storey building in surprise wedding proposal, falls to his death

A tragic turn of event occurred on Feb 12 when a Chinese man, in a bid to surprise his girlfriend with a dramatic wedding proposal by abseiling from a 29-storey building, fell to his death. 

The accident happened in the province of Jiangxi, China, while the man was abseiling from the rooftop of a 29-storey building to propose to his girlfriend who was on the 28th storey. 

The man had reportedly wanted to surprise his girlfriend by descending from the rooftop with a diamond ring in hand, reports World of Buzz. 

Unfortunately, his hand slipped as he was propelling down, and he plunged to his death. 

While some netizens expressed their condolences to the victim’s girlfriend, others pointed out that the dramatic proposal was over-the-top and needlessly reckless.
