Bike or boat? Malaysian man rides his motorbike through 1.5m flood waters

Mohd Faizul Lokman stays in Kampung Gong Chokoh, Malaysia, which floods often, making transport impossible.

So the part-time mechanic took matters into his own hands by modifying his motorcycle to work even when completely submerged in water.

The modifications took only one hour to complete, said Mohd Faizul according to World of Buzz.

He placed the carburettor and fuel tank of the motorbike, a Honda C70, into the motorbike’s basket and handlebars. This prevented water from entering and allowed the engine to keep working.

The video, which shows Mohd Faizul riding his modified motorcycle through 1.5 metre deep floodwaters with his sister, has garnered over 5 million views since it was posted on Jan 4 by Mohd Faizul.
