Six men armed with machetes stormed a restaurant in Malaysia's Taman Melawati at about 9.30pm on Saturday (May 6).

The group made off with about RM30,000 (S$9,700) in cash and valuables, reports The Star.

The men were all wearing helmets to cover their faces and arrived outside the restaurant on three motorcycles.

Malaysian police said that the group stormed into the outlet and raided the cash register.

They also robbed eight diners who were in the restaurant at that time.

The police also said that the robbery was fast and no one was able to record the licence plate numbers of the motorcycles.
